Chihiros

We are overjoyed that a Chihiro decided to stay with you, and have send you this manual with tips and tricks for careing for your Chihiro, but also making sure YOU get the best out of yours.

There are a few myths about Chihiros which need to be clarified first, for if you’d hear them you might believe them while they are –quite possibly- just rumors. Chihiros are still being researched, they are still a complete mystery. But one thing the researchers know for  sure:  A Chihiro will never attack a creature which doesn’t want to kill or injure it.
-Chihiros are either male or female, i’ve never seen a genderless one
False, Chihiros have no gender. Even if they appear male or female to you, they DO NOT HAVE A GENDER!

-Chihiros are the most annoying creatures EVER!
Half true- half false. In the first three months you have your Chihiro they will do ANYTHING to make you beyond enraged. They do that so they know how far they can go with you in their “lessons”. More on that later.

-Chihiros eat everything~!
False, when you get a Chihiro and name it it will actually transform in a Chihiro version of you, as you look on that exact moment (so please wear clothing if you don’t want your Chihiro to run around “naked”). They also take over your bad habbits, physical health and your diet. It eats what you eat, so no need to buy expensive pet food.

-The chihiro is stalking me
This can actually be true, if YOU also stalk someone. If your Chihiro actually follows you in plain sight, it does that to protect and watch over you. Chihiro are like mentors: they do not let their “students” get in much trouble, even if their students see themselfes as their owners…..

-My Chihiro helped me trough a lot, and it taught me a lot of things, yet it suddenly stopped caring for me and ran away!
As false as can be. Chihiros stay with a person after they taught their “lessons” to it if that person truely needs them there o rif they suspect their “student” might fall back into old habits. If they leave you after they taught you things it’s not because they stopped caring, it’s because you DON’T NEED THEM ANYMORE! You can’t buy a Chihiro pet, and all the time your Chihiro stayed with you because they thought you needed them. Be proud of yourself! You probably changed for the better!

-My Chihiro has fallen asleep three weeks ago after he finished one of it’s “lessons”, i can’t seem to wake it! what’s going on?!
Well, you’re in a period in between lessons then. Chihiro use a lot of energy to teach you things, but they NEVER sleep during a lesson. This seems obvious, but keep in mind that a lesson can be as long as a few hours, or even a few years! All that time the Chihiro DOES NOT SLEEP! The average in-between sleep of a Chihiro is 5 months, use that time as some sort of break and do something fun! Because as soon as the lessons start again it’s back to business.

Here are a few lessons the Chihiro may teach you:
-To not overwork yourself
-To not put yourself down
-To gain more self esteem
-To gain more control
-To stop a bad habbit (for example: Stealing, gambleing, smoking, cheating on someone, lying, etc)
-To move on after a loss
-To care for others
-To let go of anger
-To see the bright side of things, even in dark times.

The Chihiro teach things in a playfull, yet merciless way. They take the one thing they want to teach you and act it out in an extreme. So if they want to teach you control in something like money issues they will basically nearly force you to buy useless junk even you know is useless and a waste of money.

Their first lesson is always the most obvious problem, and how to deal with it. If you make a shedule of their lessons it could look like this (do note that not all Chihiro are the same, and the schedule might vary) :
1. Most obvious problem
2. Smaller problem
3. Hidden problem
4. Problem which might’ve been the cause to the other problems
5. Practical lessons.
The best you can do is accept it and go along with it. Feel free to talk to your Chihiro, because no matter what it looks like: it understand every word you say.

If it touches you on your neck, do not flinch away, they want to tell you something! Chihiro are able to communicate mentally with humans, animals and even gods! Despite the fact that Chihiro and animals are believed to have a lot in common, a Chihiro will never teach things to an animal. Why that is, is a mystery.

So after you’ve put down this manual, do not worry about anything, for you have one of the easiest creatures to care for, even easier than children! They might be comfronting on a mental level, but it’s because they want to help you, that’s all there is to it.

Here’s a final tip for you: If you name your Chihiro, name it a name you always thought was beautiful. If you do that your Chihiro will be more determined to help you, and know that even if you snap at your Chihiro and punch or hit it, it will come back eventually. The only way how you can escape their lessons temporally is….well…death. If you die before a lesson is finished the Chihiro will try to find your reincarnated form and start over with new lessons. They won’t stop til they have taught you EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW!
